Oleksii, you’ve been working in the packaging industry for many years. How has the production of capsules for sparkling and still wines at TECHNOLOGIA JSC evolved over the years, and what are you most proud of today?
My professional journey at TECHNOLOGIA GROUP began in 2014. In packaging manufacturing, I worked my way up from an operator of automatic and semi-automatic production lines to management positions. Since 2018, I have led the production department at TECHNOLOGIA JSC.
As for the evolution of capsule production, it has been a story of continuous growth. The company began manufacturing capsules for sparkling and still wines in 1997, and over the past 25+ years this business has grown into a large-scale international operation with modern production facilities in both Ukraine and Europe. Today, TECHNOLOGIA JSC exports its products to more than 60 countries worldwide.
Nearly everything has changed over the years, from the technical equipment and manufacturing processes to the production management in line with modern European standards. One of the company’s key advantages is its full production cycle, which covers virtually all stages of production: from the manufacture of extruded film and the lamination of composite materials to various types of printing, forming, and the production of finished capsules. The effectiveness of this integrated approach is driven by close cooperation between specialists from various departments, as the quality of the final product is shaped at every stage of production.
Our greatest source of pride is our team of professionals. Our commercial colleagues, who have a deep understanding of market trends and customer needs, continuously inspire us to move forward by setting new challenges and encouraging our R&D specialists and technical production teams to develop innovative solutions. What has been the most valuable part of your journey at TECHNOLOGIA JSC over the years? The company actively supports dual education and welcomes young professionals to the team. What advice would you give to those who are taking their first steps in their careers?
It is difficult to express this in just a few sentences. Throughout my professional journey, my understanding of what it means to work for a reliable Ukrainian company with European-level standards has continued to grow. With each stage, something new has been added: the feeling that you are creating a high-quality product that is valued around the world, being involved in innovation and development, growing professionally, working with a strong team, and being part of a company philosophy focused on the development of every employee.
For young specialists, I would say the following: within our company’s team, everyone can find what they are looking for – from a strong start to opportunities for personal development, career growth, stability, the chance to see the world, make new friends, and many other opportunities that our company provides every day for each employee. The key is simply to understand what you want to achieve.
Customers have different requirements: some are looking for premium capsule designs, while others need fast delivery of large production volumes and maximum cost efficiency. How does TECHNOLOGIA JSC combine an individual approach with consistent quality and optimized manufacturing processes?
Today, TECHNOLOGIA JSC is capable of implementing projects of any level of complexity while ensuring consistent product quality regardless of production volumes. We work with both classic, understated designs and premium solutions that incorporate a wide range of advanced finishing technologies.
We produce products with double-sided printing and use various types of foil stamping, embossing, combined decorative effects, and other technologies that allow us to create distinctive product appearances and enhance the premium character of a brand.
At the same time, we are constantly working to improve production efficiency: reducing waste, optimizing manufacturing processes, and identifying opportunities to lower costs. Our vertically integrated production model, where key manufacturing stages are carried out within the company, allows us to ensure consistent quality, respond quickly to customer needs, and provide competitive solutions.
Oleksii Andriienko is responsible for ensuring that every capsule and cap is produced correctly – in accordance with the technology, specifications, and design requirements. However, the journey of each product does not end there. Before reaching the customer’s bottle, the products undergo another important stage of verification – through both visual inspection and advanced testing by the Quality Control Department.
To explore what truly stands behind the word “quality” at TECHNOLOGIA JSC, we spoke with Yakiv Babaiev, Head of Quality Control.

Yakiv, when you joined TECHNOLOGIA JSC, the quality control system was still in its early stages. How has it evolved into a fully integrated quality control function, and how is product quality ensured at every stage of production today?
My journey at TECHNOLOGIA JSC began in June 2009. At that time, I was the company’s only laboratory technician, with the goal of helping establish a fully functional laboratory.
One of our main priorities in those early years was to build and develop the laboratory, as well as establish dedicated quality control teams for different production areas. Over time, these teams were brought together into a single, integrated Quality Control Department. This enabled us to implement unified approaches, requirements, and product evaluation standards across all production divisions.
Quality control does not begin with the inspection of finished products. Capsule production is only the final stage of a comprehensive process that includes film extrusion, lamination, and printing. All these operations are performed at TECHNOLOGIA JSC, allowing the quality control department to monitor every stage – from raw material inspection to extrusion, lamination, printing, capsule forming, and the final assessment of finished products.
For capsules and caps, it is particularly important to verify compliance with technical specifications, appearance, print quality, decorative finishing, geometric dimensions, and product performance during operation on the customer’s production line.
How do modern quality control methods and the expertise of your specialists work together in your laboratory today? And personally, what is the ultimate indicator that a batch of capsules or caps is truly flawless?
Quality control capabilities have evolved significantly over the years. Today, we combine advanced laboratory and instrumental testing methods with the expertise of our Quality Control specialists.
Automation allows us to assess key parameters more accurately and efficiently, but it can never replace human expertise. Testing equipment provides the data, while our specialists interpret the results, identify the relationships between individual deviations, and evaluate how they may affect the product’s performance on the customer’s production line.
To me, a flawless batch is more than a product that simply meets the specified parameters during inspection. It must perform consistently on the customer’s production line, maintain its appearance, and reliably fulfill its function throughout its entire service life.
Simply put, why can customers trust that every capsule or closure from TECHNOLOGIA JSC will perform flawlessly – from the production line all the way to the moment the bottle is opened by the consumer?
Customers can be confident in TECHNOLOGIA JSC products because quality is built into every stage of our manufacturing process – not just verified at the end.
Every production batch undergoes defined quality control procedures, and the results are evaluated against established requirements and customer-approved specifications. Just as importantly, our production, engineering, and Quality Control teams work together as one.
Our goal is not simply to detect non-conformities in finished products, but to prevent them from occurring in the first place.
